The Land of Time | Session 10

But danger still lurks near Razor Reef.

4/24/2026 – The Razor Reef
Lila woke to a harsh scraping sound beneath her tiny piece of debris. The sea-soaked wood that had barely kept her afloat finally slammed into jagged rocks hidden just below the surface.
Which direction did she float?
On a 1: West.
On a 2: Southwest.
On a 3: Southeast.
On a 4: East.
Lila rolls a 3…She goes Southeast.
The impact jolted her awake. She scrambled to hold on as the raft ground against the sharp stones of Razor Reef. Splinters dug into her hands. Cold waves crashed over her, threatening to pull her back into the deep. Somehow she managed to drag herself onto the jagged rocks, bleeding and gasping for air.
Lila, barely alive, crashes into Razor Reef.
She collapsed onto the wet stone, chest heaving. Where was she? How had she even survived?
Looking up at the sky gave her no answers. The sun hung low and indifferent, offering no warmth, no direction, no mercy. All around her stretched nothing but rock and endless sea.
What does Lila do now?
On a 1-2: She tries to climb the slick, jagged rocks and escape the crashing waves.
On a 3-4: She stays hidden among the sharp stones and quietly listens to the approaching voices.
On a 5-6: She calls out for help, desperately hoping the voices belong to someone friendly.
Lila rolls a 5. She calls out for help!!!
She was alive, but completely alone.
Meanwhile…
On the fog-shrouded Veil Coast, Finnley and Captain Salt crept silently through the mist. The smell of roasting meat led them straight to a small campfire.
Which direction do they creep?
On a 1-3: They go West.
On a 4-6: They go Southwest.
Finnley and Captain Salt roll a 1. They head west.
What they saw made their stomachs turn.
Hunched around the flames were several grotesque, mud-caked Bog Goblins with pale glowing eyes. They tore into pieces of human flesh with sharp, jagged teeth, grunting and howling as they ate.
Captain Salt’s hand slowly moved to her bow. She whispered, barely loud enough for Finnley to hear, “Stay perfectly still. If they spot us… we’re dead.”
One of the goblins suddenly stopped chewing. It lifted its head and sniffed the air. Its glowing eyes swept across the fog, passing dangerously close to where they crouched.
Finnley’s heart pounded so hard he was sure the creatures would hear it.
Two nightmares were unfolding at the exact same time, hundreds of miles apart.
What do Finnley and Captain Salt do?
On a 1-2: They try to silently back away into the fog before they are noticed.
On a 3-4: They stay perfectly still and hidden, hoping the goblins lose interest.
Ona 5-6: Captain Salt decides to attack first with her bow before they are discovered.
Finnley’s heart pounded so hard he was sure the creatures would hear it.
